By accessing or using any website owned by Pirathon Wines Pty Ltd, you agree to the terms of the Pirathon Online Privacy Policy, as outlined below. For the purposes of this policy,

Pirathon defines the term “Visitor” as an individual that visits any page of our front-end website (for example www.pirathon.com)

The term “User” as an entity with which Pirathon has an established relationship with when a Visitor uses its products or signs up for an account on the website.

Any information stored by Pirathon is treated as confidential. In general, you may visit Pirathon's web pages without disclosing to us who you are and without revealing any Personal Information about yourself however without providing personal information you may not be able to purchase our products or services.

  • for billing purposes
  • to meet any other contractual obligations


Pirathon does not use personal data to in automated decision making and profiling and does not collect personal data from visitors

We do not collect sensitive information such as medical, health, racial, ethnic, political, religious, philosophic, union membership or sexual orientation information. If we are made aware that we have received such information, we will promptly proceed to its deletion.

In some cases another User (such as a system administrator) may create an account on your behalf and may provide your information, including Personal Information (most commonly when your company requests to use our products). We collect Information under the direction of our customers and often have no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data we process.

Users can at any time access and edit, update or delete their contact details by logging in to their account on the Pirathon website with their username and password. Users may create more Users within their account (sub accounts). Once these new Users log into Pirathon, they meet the definition of User in this policy. Pirathon will not retain User data longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations.

To the extent that you do provide us with Personal Information, Pirathon wishes to maintain it accurately and up-to-date. Where we collect Personal Information from you, our goal is to provide a means of contacting Pirathon should you need to access, update or correct that Information.

2.3.  Our Role

Pirathon processes Personal Data as a Controller, as defined in the Directive and the GDPR: Pirathon which you as a User entered an agreement with when signing up for an account, will be the Controller for User data, as outlined in the information above. Pirathon adheres to the Directive of 1995 and the GDPR from May 25th, 2018. 

 

2.4.  Data Transfer Across Borders

You should be aware, that if you choose to provide us with your Personal Information, we may transfer such information, within Pirathon or to Pirathon's third party service providers, across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world, subject to the limitations of this Privacy Policy.

Personal data collected by Pirathon will be stored in secure hosting facilities provided by Amazon Web Services located in the US which is on the EU Commission’s list of countries or territories providing adequate protection for the rights and freedoms of data subjects in connection with the processing of their personal data. All hosting is performed in accordance with the highest security regulations and Amazon Web Services is EU-US Privacy Shield compliance certified and follows the relevant principles.

Pirathon strives to comply with all applicable laws around the globe that are designed to protect your privacy. Although legal requirements may vary from country to country, Pirathon intends to adhere to the principles set forth in this online Privacy Policy.

 

2.5.  Compromise of Personal Information.

In the event that personal information is compromised as a breach of security, Pirathon will promptly notify our customers in compliance with applicable law.

You may choose whether or not to provide Personal Information to Pirathon. However, when you engage in certain activities on this site, such as purchasing products or entering competitions, Pirathon may require that you provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. 5.  Newsletters

From time to time, Pirathon will provide information to their customers in the form of electronic newsletters. When you subscribe to the Pirathon newsletter you will be added to our mailing list and will receive announcements and information about Pirathon and its ventures. The announcements and information will come from Pirathon, not from third parties. It will be emailed directly to the email address that you provide when you subscribe. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters from us in the future, you can sign-in pirathon.com and then unsubscribe by accessing the settings of your profile.
